Three months ago, Cosmica Spacelines unveiled their flagship private space travel club, Cosmica Elite.

Stockholm, Sweden (August 19, 2011) – Three months ago this day, Cosmica Spacelines unveiled details of Cosmica Elite, their flagship private space travel club, at the Elite Hotel Marina Tower in Stockholm, Sweden. Founder, President and COO Garrett Smith welcomed guest speakers Cecilia Hertz and Per Wimmer along with an exclusive community of enthusiasts and vanguards and invited them to take part in unforgettable experiences through repeat access to space.

Guest speaker Cecilia Hertz, Sweden’s first space designer, opened the evening by presenting her NASA design work. Garrett followed and provided details on the unprecedented opportunity to make repeat space travel an everyday reality. To be located in the heart of the Mediterranean, the Cosmica Spaceport will serve as the departure point for Cosmica Spacelines and the members’ resort will serve as the central point for space travel in Europe with contemporary hotel and exquisite spa accommodations to relax and revitalize.

Before the break, guest speaker Per Wimmer, a global financier, entrepreneur, philanthropist and soon Scandinavia’s first private astronaut, presented his support and enthusiasm for space travel with “Ultimate Adventure: Going to Space and Making Dreams Reality.” During the intermission, guests were treated to Box Single Malt Whiskey, Mistinguette Cava and a look at the Halda Space Discovery Watch in the Elite Hotel’s convention center. Mikael Sandström, CEO Halda Watch Co. Sweden, was on hand to present the unique space watch “Halda Concept” to the guest.

Finally closing the evening event Leszek Farber introduced the specifics of Cosmica Elite Club membership and investment opportunities. Other notable attendees at the event include Founder and Board Member of Cosmica Spacelines, Monica Farber; Stardust Consulting’s Rafael Harillo; Facility Manger for the Flight Physiological Centre at QinetiQ, Thomas Andersson; and Medical Director of the Flight and Dive Medical Center at Aleris , Dr Jan Linder. 

After mingling, greeting and enjoying gourmet hors d’oeuvres, guests were welcomed by Leszek Farber, Founder and CEO of Cosmica Spacelines to the event and then introduced guest speaker Andrew Nelson, COO of XCOR Aerospace with in-depth insight into the XCOR Lynx and the personal spaceflight industry.
